For Facebook ads purposes, we might upload your data, such as email, and phone number to Facebook Inc in order to create Custom Audiences (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/customaudience). In order to send out newsletters we upload names and email addresses only, to Mail Chimp who also have their own Privacy Policy (https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/), if you do not want to receive our newsletter and be excluded from this upload please select that option on sign up or in your settings. If you later decide you no longer want to receive our newsletter you can either unsubscribe through Mail Chimp via the newsletter or amend your settings.

All customers are free to join our social media pages like, Facebook, Instagram, etc. If you join one of the Social Media pages, please note that the provider of the social media platforms have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. CCTV
On site we use video surveillance to guarantee the safety of our staff and customers, to protect our property against vandalism and theft, optimize our services, and prevent fraud. Video surveillance can involve the collection and otherwise processing of your personal data like your image. CCTV footage is stored for maximum of 14 days unless there are any abnormal activities.
Photographers and videographers are allowed on site
Many photographers and videographers are here to create content about our activities and they normally do this for free. If you desire to get one of their pictures or videos of you, you can contact them personally. By entering our sites you give consent for them to photograph you or make videos of you which they can post online and on their social media. We can use the pictures and videos taken on our sites to use on our own website or social media.
If for any reason you don’t want pictures or videos taken of you, please notify the staff at the front desk before entering our sites.

Reasons we need to process your data include:
- Your first name, last name, birthday and gender are used to find you in the WakeSys booking system and identify you as the holder of a valid ticket and/or season pass and/or membership. In addition, your first name and your last name will be displayed on your personal receipts and on your release of liability. This information also serves for security reasons. In case of an emergency on the water, we know who you are and who to contact.
- The email address is used to send you your login credentials, notifications concerning your bookings, invitations to events hosts invite you to or events that you have created. You always have the option to unsubscribe from the WakeSys email notifications.
- Your address, postal code, city, country, and state are only used to be displayed on receipts and invoices and on the release of liability.
- Your phone number is used to inform you about last-minute cancellations of tickets and events.
- The emergency contact is only used if something has happened to you, and we need to notify a person close to you.
- After signing up, a member of staff will take a picture of your face, to connect you to your profile. This is necessary to identify you as the holder of a valid ticket and/or season pass and/or membership, at the starting dock and/or cash register.
- Any medical information we hold on you is only processed for the purpose of passing to coaches/lifeguards to allow the safe running of sessions, or passing to medical professionals in the event of an accident. We process this data on the lawful basis of consent. Therefore, we will also need your explicit consent to process this data, which we will ask for at the point of collecting it.
- The email address and password that you set up will be your login credentials to login to the WakeSys booking system, all passwords are stored encrypted on WakeSys servers. Logging in to your account at any time allows you to see the personal information stored in WakeSys, as well as the option to delete your account.
- For Marketing and communications (where separate consent is provided) your email address will be used for sending information about promotions, offers and member benefits and occasional newsletters.
- Video footage is constantly captured on site for both security and also entertainment purposes on the RiderCam system and other automated systems in the future. These systems automatically capture video clips at various points around the site. Only you can see these videos via a password protected personal online portal and you are able to download these videos. However, please note that sometimes the automated system may assign the wrong video of someone else. It is illegal to download anyone else’s video or share it in any way without the express permission of the person shown in the video. Anyone doing so may be prosecuted according to the laws of Thailand and the Thai Personal Data Protection Act 2022. All videos are deleted after 14 days unless they are downloaded. Downloaded videos of the person who is downloading them may be shared online accounting to the sharing policies of the video sharing/social media provider.
